Hiking Camino de Santiago and beyond!

We travelled from Bulungula Lodge on Wild Coast to Drakensburg Mtns at Underberg. Our drive out of Bulungula was the Most Treacherous ever. We were so lucky to emerge without serious car damage or getting stuck! Thanks to Tania for leading us out.
Now in Drakensburg- we took an amazing hike. Waterfalls, crazy rock formations-beautiful.

Jabu was the Zhosa local who lead us on our village visit. Locals are self sufficient, work at Bulungula Lodge, or in mines. One person from family works outside home. Jabu husband is late- she & her 2 children live with her parents, sister & brother. no cars. Walk everywhere. Goats, sheep, chickens, cattle omnipresent. The photos with locals were enjoyed with a beer they had made. Very friendly. Locals- loved seeing their photos on our phone & I sent them to lodge & they were thrilled. We did see a few kids with an iPhone. Mainly no electricity. Our lodge was solar powered & we used a rocket shower- hot water.
