Portugal is known for its hand painted blue & white tiles. The old Aveiro train station is a favorite example.

And, I loved the fun sculpture right outside the station.

Aveiro Portugal is a charming town between Lisbon & Porto. We loved this quaint stop. Canals line the streets – Venice style- and the gondola ride was fun. The canals are drained every night into the ocean – crazy. We enjoyed a few fun free city concerts. One was a few college kids playing jazz. And the second is the video of the rock band playing in the square – band is fun – people watching locals – priceless.

We love being a bit disconnected – and we’re surprised to realize that we were in a hurricane path – thank goodness the major damage was south of us and we were staying in a guest house built like s brick wall. Fun Portugueseexperience.

Cascais is an idyllic town about 20 Miles from Lisbon. It is on the train line and a fun Lisbon suburb. It is one the West Point of Europe and the ocean, views and air is beautiful.

We spent 3 days here just having fun. Walking along the shoreline and enjoying the pounding surf and beautiful sunsets – the latest in Europe.

The boats in the harbor are right downtown- perfect.

We rented bikes & enjoyed an Oceanside bike path to the western most point of Europe.

We enjoyed a fun little hotdog food truck and loved a Porto/dog!

We had amazing dinners in the tiniest family restaurants enjoying fresh catches of the day.

A beautiful – low key city that is a wonderful combination with Lisbon & Sintra.

Sevilla Spain is blessed with many treasures.  However, today’s post highlights the simple treasures from our morning walk.

From crazy graffiti to a man in the bell tower to fun building art to the Bomberos building.  Enjoy!

A Coruna is a city we love on the northern coast.  Architecturally interesting.  Some fun graffiti art.  And a commercial street with a canopy of grape vines complete with ripe grapes.

After 3 weeks of recuperation – off of the Camino de Samtiago / Frances – we returned to the city and hiked 8 miles into town.  We wanted the experience of entering the plaza.  It was a lovely hike allowing us to savour the amazing experiences of The Way.

The photos in the previous post is a dry well that is over 200 feet deep. There are steps which lead to the bottom and you can walk out of the well at the base – entering a maze.
