Brian suggested a concert at Notre Dame. Wow–another spot on suggestion. Beautiful. Astonishing music. Greg thinks it is the best!

Photos just don’t do justice to this scenery. Kudos to our amazing Host in Paris –Brian for recommending this tour and supplying Champagne. Brian personifies excellence in customer service and is just a crazy fun guy! He added so much to our Paris adventure.

Greg had fun wandering the streets of Paris on bike. The traffic was crazy and he travelled from Eiffel Towel to Arc Triopmphe to Louvre when darkness set in. A great ride!

Okay – you have seen a few photos. The architecture & artwork are amazing. The orchestra – wonderful. Did I mention our last minute seats $20! Honestly, if the dancers sat on stage & twiddled their thumbs – we would have been happy. Tho / the dance was wonderful.

Paris is our final stop on this amazing adventure. We love this city and it did not disappoint. Our first stop is the Paris Opera House. We took a guided tour and then had the privilege of attending the ballet here. An amazing place.

Cats  – charming little rascals are everywhere in Crete – and cute!

We visited this historic Orthodox monastery – still active and loved the art and buildings.  The workroom with arched ceiling is still actively used.

This monastery has a rich tragic history as locals became martyrdom rather than surrender to the ottomans. 

Crete was recommended for our travel by Brittany – our niece-in-law and we loved it! Beautiful clean beaches. Lovely architecture, history, food, & friendly people.

Take a close look at the little sailboats at the lighthouse. These sailing students aged around 10 were fearlessly tackling 6-10′ waves – amazing!

There are s few fun things about staying at Airbnb.

One is that the hosts tell you their favorite places, cafes, and food.  Another is that you get to live in s neighborhood snd get a good glimpse into everyday life.  From the locals watching a futbol game at the bar to the local markets.   As we have been travelling so long, we stop at markets regularly for picnic lunches.  For the last two days we stopped at a favorite meat market.  They tolerated my Spanish and we were rewarded with amazing Iberian ham & cheese.  Yesterday when returning to the market – the Dad prepared our order and both the son & daughter – gave us huge waves & welcomes from the back . We no longer felt like strangers — love it!
