Part II of our adventure is exploring the North & South Islands. They are not very large and boy do they pack a lot of variety in a small area.

There is so much spectacular scenery and I will get to that. First, there are a few adventures to note.

Exploring Australia & Tasmania has been a wonderful adventure. While the land is ruggedly spectacular – oh those beaches, reefs, rainforests & vineyards! I love the people. We have found the cities safe and its inhabitants ready to lend a helpful hint.

It started in Sydney when a 91 year spry women sat down next to me on the bus, briefly discussed my trip & her trip to US and then asked what I thought of Trump! What a hoot!

It continued with the people we met at Mrs McQuaries chair on NYE. Fun! The amazing hospitality Jo & Mac showed us along with their fun friends. The nice Airbnb hosts who had gone to the Sheepdog competition in Midway-crazy! Deb, Caity, & Steve showing us around Melbourne and sharing their local knowledge as well as a fun dinner. The young lady who showed me the safe way to pat a stingray😳.

And all of the kind people who answered our traveller questions and made it a fun trip.b

In southwestern Australia, there is a bay where sting rays are protected.

Yes- they are sting rays. Like the one that killed Steve Irwin.

Yes, a wise 12 year old told me the smart way to pat them.

While we loved the wines & stunning vineyards of the Margaret River area / we adore the wild areas.

The coast & swimming beaches are stunning.

We are spending the day on flights & airports to go to Western Australia.

We have been told – no trip to Australia can miss Western Australia. Greg is questioning our logic ….and it does NOT disappoint.

Western Australia- WA – wait awhile is great.

We started our tour in Perth. greg starts each day with a 50km bike ride to Freemantle & back. Loved it. I enjoyed a latte!

We loved exploring Freemantle and Perth. Found the Harbor & Swan River beautiful. Fringe Festival was in its run. The botanical garden was stunning. And – amazing – as WA is home to botanicals only found here.
