What a celebration!
Neighborhoods put up displays of Christmas lights….like you have never seen!
These small streets have lights crossing the streets – that are spectacular. They have plazas with displays that are beautiful- often anchored by a church.
And the locals are all out in big numbers. We went to Envigado a smallish neighborhood with thousands of locals out & about – we were the only tourists. And there was music, lights, food booths–amazing food! And craft booths. It was a wonderful slice of what makes life in Medellin vibrant. VIBRANT!
These folks who live in these neighborhoods may not have much money and their lives seem quite rich.
