Hobart was the departure point for the first Antarctic expeditions.
We are excited to explore this unique country and Bruny Island is our first adventure. We are catching a bus which takes us from Hobart to the Ferry & eventually the boat dock. Bruny Island is home to amazing oysters, merino sheep, and excellent whiskey! But we are headed to a boat ride in the Southern Ocean. ….there are white caps in the bay / yahoo! We don our red weather jackets, swallow our ginger/sea sickness tablets and are ready for adventure. Did I mention that we all donned every layer of clothing that we packed – yes!
